Jericho Mountain Folkart,
located in historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania

Welcome!

Come in, sit down, enjoy a fragrant cup of tea, and allow me to share my vision of the past with you. My dolls and Father Christmas figures are reminiscent of the naive style of the popular folkart portraits of the early 19th c. by such artists as Ammi Phillips as well as the cloth dolls of Izannah Walker and other 19th c. cloth doll artists.

Historical trips were a highlight of my childhood— we traveled to such places as Williamsburg, Monticello, historic Boston and Philadelphia and humbler venues as well. I always wanted to know how the women and men who lived in the early years of our country did their everyday work, to find out about the techniques and materials they used. Now I try to recreate same feeling of charm in my work, to emulate the simplicity of Early American country design, combined with the warmth of gentle aging.

In 2001 I was honored to be chosen for the Directory of Top 200 Traditional Craftsmen by Early American Life® magazine. I am also a juried member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and was selected as the featured artist in the Spring 2002 issue of Bucks County Town and Country Living® magazine.

I work in cloth and paperclay, using a variety of techniques and materials. All my designs are original, and I use vintage, reproduction and recycled fabrics whenever possible. Quality of workmanship and attention to detail are very important to me. Browse through the gallery pages, and if you see something that would complement your home and lifestyle, I’ll be happy to create it just for you. If you have special requests or questions, please feel free to call me at 215-968-3874 or contact me at jerichomountain@aol.com.

If you would like information on my wholesale line, I exhibit at the Market Square Traditional Wholesale Shows in Ft. Washington, PA—contact me for more information.

My late husband George was a constant source of loving support and encouragement, and I dedicate my work to his memory.
